Super Mario Construct is a level editor and passion-project aiming to offer the best of 2D Mario.

What's this game about!?

The name Super Mario Construct stems from it being a level editor, being made in the Construct engine, and that new updates are frequently 'under construction'. Therefore you can expect this game to be updated regularly with new goodies from all across the Mario franchise!

Currently we offer 2 gamestyles, SMAS Super Mario Bros 1 & Super Mario World.
Each gamestyle has its own set of physics, tilesets and assets, based on the source material.

The level editor is easy to learn, yet it doesn't hold your hand - there's very little limitations, and you have complete freedom over how you make your level. There's several advanced features and lots of community-made levels being posted every day!

Recommended way to play Super Mario Construct Desktop

Since this game is regularly updated, we recommend you install the game through the Itch.io App. This allows for automatic updates or updating the game with the press of a button. Here's how to do it:

1. Install the app at https://itch.io/app
2. Open the app and head over to the page for Super Mario Construct (either search for it or paste in the URL)
3. At the bottom, press the Install button and download it your directory of choice.
4. You can now enjoy Super Mario Construct on the desktop! If an update is available, Itch.io will either auto-install it, or you just have to press the Update button (at the same spot the Install/Launch button is).
