๐ŸŽ‰ Super Mario Construct turns 6 years old! ๐ŸŽŠ

Hey everyone, before I go on with the patch notes, I just want to take a moment to appreciate this milestone! Just like me, SMC is getting old, but certainly not grumpy - with V8's completion on the horizon, the next chapter for the game will open up soon.

โš–๏ธ Scale Lifts โš–๏ธ

Okay, onto the changelog! This patch introduces **Scale Lifts**, the last sprite still remaining to be added from the original SMB1 game! Stand on one end, the other rises, but watch out - if the platforms are at their limit, they'll fall if you stress them further!

Aside from the player, __heavy sprites__ can influence these too. They also got the same skins as __Advanced Platforms__!

๐Ÿ”ง Tweaks / Changes ๐Ÿ”ง

Here are the most notable tweaks, some of these are the courtesy of Vortoxium! There's some additional tweaks too in the list below.

  • Add ability to playtest from checkpoints.
  • Invisible Sprite Spawners have a new 'Spawn animation layer' option that sprites are on during their entrance animation.
  • Updated SMW Boom Boom sprites, and he's now got palettes in this gamestyle too!
  • Levels can be sorted in the Level Select menu (by dragging them).
  • Palace Switches are now compatible with Invisible Sprite Spawners.

MORE TWEAKS

โ€ข Updated Polish, Italian & Latin language files to Snapshot 33 content!
โ€ข As per collected feedback from the community, stationary Big Steelies can now also damage the player.
โ€ข Allow the player to perform weak swims whilst also on the ground. โ€ข Updated SMW Boom Boom sprites, and he's now got palettes in this gamestyle too!
โ€ข The "Restart at Checkpoint" option now costs one life, and added a confirmation button for using the regular restart option.
โ€ข Level thumbnails now have a unique default thumbnail for each gamestyle


BUG FIXES
-Fix filters not being removed from the level even if removed through the effects menu
-Fix HUD not re-positioning to the right locations if map screen size changes between warps
-Fix SMW Volcano background palettes not being recognized by the game
-Fix some background parts not being visible on backgrounds with palettes
-Fix Forsaken City & Butter Building background not being listed in the BG picker, unless explicitly searching for them
-Fix SMAS SMB1 Mount Blockade sign's hitbox being too deep into the ground
-Fix sign-based objects floating a few pixels above solid tiles they're attached to
-Fix walking Outmaways unable to kick (slow/idle) Big Steelies
-Fix unmuting the music sometimes playing the current theme at a very silent level
-Fix Layered Liquids being draggable whilst placing/deleting tiles
-Fix Fire Mario climbing sprite having a miscolored outline (in SMW)
-Fix custom images not showing up in signs when playing level through Paste 'N' Play
-Fix able to interact with tiles w/ resizable ranges through opened toolbar
-Fix camera automatically scrolling back to the right if moving it to the left
-Fix some misconfigured tiles in Tipsy Turtle & Savanna tilesets (both SMW) cliff-turners to not behave properly
-Fix Dry Bones unable to get up when at the level border
-Fix some SMW snow tileset tiles not having snowy properties
-Fix the player not being damaged if standing idle on a platform moving into spikes
-Fix Mount Blockades not disappearing on map switch
-Fix some SMAS SMB1 Savanna palette issues -Fix a pixel missing in Penguin Mario's ducking frame (SMW)
-Fix horizontal edge tile extensions not being cleared when warping to a different map, sometimes blocking screenwrap
